What Type Of Wheel Is Best For My Application? |
Nylon wheels – the most common wheel type. Pallet trucks are usually fitted with nylon wheels as standard because it is a very hard-wearing material, suitable for most warehouse/yard applications.
Polyurethane (poly-on-nylon) – for indoor use on smooth, even flooring. These wheels cut down on truck noise, and provide better grip.
Rubber – pallet trucks fitted with rubber steer wheels are a popular choice with distribution companies because rubber gives the pallet truck good grip on rough and uneven surfaces. Rubber wheels also cut down on truck noise (ideal for those early morning deliveries!)
Most of our pallet trucks can be fitted with alternative fork wheel types as an option.
Unless otherwise stated, pallet trucks are fitted with single fork rollers as standard, however 2 rollers on each fork (tandem rollers) can also be fitted as an option. Tandem rollers are used to make the truck easier to manoeuvre over rough and uneven surfaces, or with heavy loads.
